Interview with Kelly Preston
01.18.07 (5:35 pm)   [edit]
A talented and captivating performer, Kelly Preston has performed in a broad range of motion pictures, portraying roles in such diverse films as Jerry Maguire, Citizen Ruth and Twins. Her dynamic and compelling performances have proven her to be one of the most sought-after actors of our generation.

Kelly, who is the current face of Neutrogena’s national advertising campaign, was most recently seen opposite Kurt Russell in Walt Disney’s Sky High, a teen comedy directed by Mike Mitchell and produced by Andrew Gunn. The film is centered on a high school for super-powered teens living in a world where super heroes are an everyday occurrence. Kelly and Kurt play Josie Jetstream and Commander Stronghold, the parents of a future superhero. (more > )

What is Celebrity Centre International?
01.17.07 (5:11 pm)   [edit]

L. Ron Hubbard once said, “The world is carried on the backs of a desperate few.” Unfortunately, it is these desperate few who are often the most neglected.

It is for this reason that L. Ron Hubbard saw to the formation of a special Church of Scientology which would cater to these individuals — the artists, politicians, leaders of industry, sports figures and anyone with the power and vision to create a better world. That Church is Celebrity Centre International .

Now one might argue that these individuals already have benefits that many will never have. But, ask any one of them — ask yourself — it can become a lonely world. Subject to the unusual pressures that come with prominence and responsibility, being looked upon under a microscope for good or bad — these are burdens others can’t imagine. Not to mention the counter-attack such individuals are subjected to by those less-ambitious who would rather fight to maintain a “status quo” than allow another to attempt a change or improvement.

Why is Scientology a Religion?
01.17.07 (11:06 am)   [edit]

Scientology meets all three criteria generally used by religious scholars when examining religions: (1) a belief in some Ultimate Reality, such as the Supreme Being or eternal truth that transcends the here and now of the secular world; (2) religious practices directed toward understanding, attaining or communicating with this Ultimate Reality; and (3) a community of believers who join together in pursuing the Ultimate Reality.

Scientology’s belief in an Ultimate Reality that transcends the material world include its concepts of the thetan, the spiritual world (the seventh dynamic) and the Supreme Being (the eighth dynamic). The second element can be found in Scientology’s life-rite ceremonies such as naming, marriage and funeral services, but predominantly in the religious services of auditing and training, through which Scientologists increase their spiritual awareness and attain an understanding of the spiritual world and, ultimately, their relationship with the Supreme Being. As to the third element, a very vital community of believers can be found at any church of Scientology at almost any time of the day.

Scientology is thus a religion in the oldest sense of the word. Scientology helps man become more aware of God, more aware of his own spiritual nature and that of those around him. Scientology Scripture recognizes that there is an entire dynamic (urge or motivation in life) devoted to the Supreme Being (the eighth dynamic) and another dynamic that deals solely with one’s urge toward existence as a spirit (the seventh dynamic). Acknowledgment of these aspects of life is a traditional characteristic of religions. (find out more > )

For instance here are some facts about the common drug Ecstasy:

Short-term Effects:
• impaired judgment

• confusion
• depression
• sleep problems
•  severe anxiety
• paranoia

• faintness and chills or sweating.

Long-term Effects:
• Prolonged use causes long-lasting and perhaps permanent damage to the brain, affecting the person's judgment and thinking ability. Some young people have died after using ecstasy only once.

Who Are Scientology Volunteer Ministers?
01.14.07 (5:28 pm)   [edit]
Within minutes of the World Trade Center disaster, Volunteer Ministers were on site, providing support around the clock to emergency personnel. They continued to arrive from all over the United States and from distant countries, until, all told, there were 800 "yellow shirts" working 24/7 alongside New York emergency rescue teams, providing real help. And when it was over, those 800 Volunteer Ministers earned praise from officials and civic leaders and were awarded the New York Fire Department's Medal of Valor.
